Front End Loader Operator Safety Training

This course provides students a basic understanding of front end loader operation, maintenance and load handling. It will also cover relevant federal and provincial legislative requirements applicable to the workplace:
  
  • Understanding safety regulations: federal, provincial and company in addition to employer, superintendent and co-worker responsibilities
  • Types of front end loaders: rigid frame, articulating frame and attachment options
  • Components and functions: main controls and gauges, hydraulic system, steering system, cylinder assemblies, front loader assembly, engine compartment, and wheels and tires
  • Operating safely: stability, overloading & improper loading, maneuverability, slide slopes and grades, workplace hazard assessment, bucket filling and dumping, digging, leveling and undercutting, and start up and shut down procedures

COURSE OPTIONS

IN-CLASS TRAINING

The in-class training program offers a morning classroom session focused on theory. This is followed by an afternoon session for hands-on practical training and ends with an evaluation session on the same day.

ON-SITE TRAINING

For convenience, our certified trainers can train YOUR operators on YOUR equipment at YOUR facility. On-site training begins with a morning session of classroom theory and a written examination followed by an afternoon of practical hands-on training.
