Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (April 22, 2015) – Cervus Equipment Corp. (“Cervus”) (TSX: CVL) is excited to provide a brand new refrigerated Peterbilt truck to the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre. This truck will allow for almost five tonnes of food to be delivered daily and help provide over 150,000 families with healthy food every month.

Working with the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre to help them acquire an affordable and safe truck for food transportation was important to Cervus. It is community services like the Food Bank that help keep local communities thriving and strong. For Cervus and its employees, thinking and acting locally is about more than helping customers’ businesses grow – it also means helping entire communities prosper. Cervus is proud to stand behind the Saskatoon Food Bank and support them in their mission to end hunger.

“That is also why we choose to work with vendors who share our belief that food security is a shared responsibility that begins in our own communities,” said Laurie O’Connor, Executive Director of the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre. “And so, with this in mind, we would like to take a moment to thank Cervus for taking the time to build a relationship with us, and for working closely with our team to ensure a fair deal on our new Peterbilt.”

The refrigerated truck will allow the Saskatoon Food Bank to pick up both perishable and non-perishable food donations. The money that the Food Bank saved by purchasing this truck at factory pricing will reduce third party costs, and ensure that all Saskatonians have access to fresh food and the opportunity to flourish.
