As a Store Person in our Ballarat Branch you will perform a variety of logistical warehousing including but not excluding, shipping, receiving, stocking, warehousing and delivery/pick up duties while providing exceptional customer service; ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity is attained within the warehouse. The Store Person would also be responsible for managing some administrative functions within the business.

What does this role look like to you?  

  • Safe operation of forklifts to unload trucks or couriers when required
  • Direct incoming traffic as required in a safe and orderly manner
  • Communicate with parts team to load orders for customers or couriers
  • Keep parts and warehouse areas organized and clean
  • Complete pickups and deliveries as directed by the Parts Manager
  • Provide assistance to parts counter customers
  • Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
  • Speak to customers and suppliers about order problems and resolve these in a courteous manner
  • Maintains overall showroom display and presentation
  • Pick, sort and delivery of parts in accordance to parts pick lists
  • Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
  • Complete a stock take of inventory when required
  • Receive all stock orders from suppliers and place stock in appropriate bin location
  • Communicate with service department to ensure that the correct items have been received, receipted and can be located when required
  • Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles


What are we looking for?  

  • Basic understanding of financial principles related to Parts Department operations
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Highly organized individual that is skilled at anticipating future needs and changes that occur in our warehouse and is able to work well within restricted timelines
  • Hold a current Fork Lift licence and be able to operate fork truck/ forklift in a safe manner
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications
  • Current drivers licence
