Our Calgary, Alberta branch is looking for an exceptional individual to join our service department as a Service Advisor for our Industrial division. The successful candidate should possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Familiarity with working in a fast-paced process focused environment is essential and previous service department experience is preferred.

What does the role look like?

  • Handle incoming phone calls, record, re-route or follow through as necessary.
  • Schedule, coordinate and dispatch service technicians and track response times.
  • Generate repair orders and ensure thorough and accurate labour descriptions from service technicians.
  • Distribute repair orders for parts approval.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance programs and scheduled services.
  • Book appointments with internal/external customers
  • Maintain visibility of all technicians, timelines and scheduled work following up and reschedule if necessary.
  • Track completion of repairs.
  • Prepare quotes for the service department.
  • Initiate, coordinate and track warranty expiry date reminder file (repair orders)
  • Maintain your workstation in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining customer contact and soliciting feedback, address customer issues promptly with intelligent and efficient resolutions. Escalating to Service Manager when required.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and supplier support staff.

What are we looking for?

  • Someone with a strong administrative background, attention to detail and superior customer service skills.
  • Dealership experience would be an asset but not required (knowledge would be a strong asset, automotive would be great too though or other industries)
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor would be a plus but is not mandatory.
  • Experience in a structured, fast paced environment dealing with multiple customers and competing priorities.
  • Handling documents with a high level of precision is a must.
  • Someone who is a great people person and enjoys working with customers and technicians.
