Reporting to the Sales Manager/General Sales Manager, the Sales Trainee will be gaining practical experience of the sales and aftermarket operations within the dealership while supporting the Sales Manager and sales department

What does this role look like to you?

  • Support Sales Manager in managing effective processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Understand the sales department marketing plan and learn progress on a monthly basis to ensure achievement of departmental goals while building to established market share goals.
  • Understand customer relationships and learn to manage them through customer interaction, customer profiling and classification, call scheduling and target marketing.
  • Assist Sales Manager in maintaining an effective inventory control system.
  • Perform in store floor sales when required and ensure paperwork is complete and accurate for personal sales.
  • Assist sales representatives within field training programs, demonstrations and product deliveries.
  • Support aftermarket departments and SRO to engage in various duties when required in order to understand the interaction and operations of all departments within the business.
  • Assist Sales Administration and follow up with PDI and reconditioning requests.
  • Reconciling with external/internal financial auditors.
  • Maintain and update internet advertising as required.
  • Assist in yard inventory counts as required.
  • Assist sales administration with customer experience follow up.
  • Review after sales accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Attend and participate in customer and employee clinics/training.
  • Complete required Cervus and Peterbilt training modules.
