OSSA Elevated Work Platform Training

Workers required to utilize Elevated Work Platforms must be trained in the System Components, Inspection, Safe Use and Handling of the equipment. Cervus Equipment offers Fusion Safety Services OSSA certified elevated work platform course. This includes an Instructor-led powerpoint presentation, videos, class exercises, inspection, and use of an EWP and written test. Our EWP training covers:
  • Legislation and Standards related to EWP
  • Employer and Worker responsibilities
  • Elements of Pre-work Planning
  • Stability, Load limitations and calculations
  • Pre-use check and visual inspection
  • System components, features, and P.P.E.
  • Working at heights, rescue and escape planning
  • Recognition, evaluation and control of hazards

Program Length: 8 hours
OSSA Certification: Valid for 3 years

Cervus Equipment Operator Safety Training Centers are located in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Red Deer and Fort McMurray, Alberta; and Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The in-class training program offers a classroom session focused on theory. Students will be required to inspect and operate an Elevated Work platform. A valid Fall Protection credential is required.

For convenience, our certified trainers can train YOUR operators on YOUR equipment at YOUR facility. On-site training begins with a session of classroom theory and a written examination followed by practical hands-on training.
